Tis The Season...

For yard sales of course! You can't hardly drive down a street without passing a sign...
Now the amazing thing about yard sales is, that a lot of the time people have no idea what they are getting rid of! Always make sure to be on the lookout for quilt tops. Gina, the owner of Quilter's Refuge was given two quilt tops that someone found at a yard sale. They have newspaper on the back of them from WWII! How amazing is that?! Here are some pictures of the newspapers on the back of them and the fronts of the quilts.

Don't we WISH fabric was 0.15/yard!!

So make sure to keep an eye out for some treasures like these! You never know what you'll find.

  1. I have two string quilts that came from an estate. The newsprint is from the 1930's. I would really like to make one of these with all my scrap fabrics. Sharon Barrett
