Can't Find What You Want?

Well, make your own! If you have that certain piece of fabric in your mind that you NEED to have, Spoonflower will let you make it yourself. If there is an artist somewhere deep down inside, you can create your own print and Spoonflower will print your fabric for you. Now isn't that neat?

Also, make sure to check out their latest contest with Michael Miller and vote for your favorite one. I placed my votes. There are some really cute fabrics on there.
Like Lil-Red-Wagon

and these cute sea animals!

Also, you can still sign up for our Quilts of Valor free mystery project. We will email you the clues starting on Friday April 1st and every Friday after that for 6 weeks. At the end, you'll have a beautiful quilt to donate to Quilts of Valor. Who doesn't love to show their appreciation for our soldiers?!

Even Organizing is Cute

So I'm willing to bet that most people's sewing rooms don't look like the ones in the magazines. You know, not a thread to be seen, cute boxes lining the walls, lots of windows, 3 sewing machines, and color coordinating everything? It's usually just not possible. Hello...we are creating here! We don't have time to decorate!

But that doesn't mean we can't throw a little bit of organization (and something really cute) in our sewing rooms without much trouble. Hey, it might even keep us from losing the middle 2 pages of that pattern and wondering "What the heck was I making with this?" kind of event from happening.

I love this....mini-goals are exactly what we quilters/sewers need!

Do you ever lose track of time while you're sewing? This clock will keep you right on schedule.

We all know how many different writing utensils we need to create our quilts and projects. Pens, pencils, glue sticks, chalk pencils, the list goes on! Keep all of them organized with this straw dispenser inspired holder.

At the end of the day, we love binders. Binders keep our projects (and patterns) where they are supposed to be! This binder from Russel and Hazel has a dry erase interior and a thick rubber band to hold everything in. Plus, you get to choose from a wide range of colors. Now you'll never forget where you left off on that last project!

Now all you need are some of these boxes...and wow! Aren't you feeling just a little more put together?

Bonnie's Best Blogs

Another treat for my friends -- this is the blog I've featured in the latest newsletter. (I promise I'm sending it out today!) Time really flies when it comes to writing newsletters. But when there is so much sewing to do...it's kind of hard to concentrate. Plus, it's spring. You really can't blame a girl!

She has a lot of ideas and fresh fabric designs. Let me know what you think!

Have You Twisted?

This ruler is one of the latest neat things to try.
Pretty much you sew squares together and then what's a quilter's favorite thing to do? Cut perfectly good fabric up into pieces and then sew it back together! Check out this blog "Moda Lissa" to view a great tutorial to see how she used her squares. Do any of you have this ruler? Let me know what you think!

This is one of our creations using the ruler --- more to come!!! This was our first attempt and the colors kind of blended together (I personally love it!) but some thought more contrast was needed so another project is in the works. What do ya'll think?
